The Bay Area Medical Society Coalition, representing 12,000 practicing physicians, introduces part 2 of a 4-part webinar series focused on understanding and dismantling harmful behaviors and patterns in healthcare that disproportionality affect health outcomes for patients from vulnerable communities. Through a combination of robust presentations from prestigious practitioners and a cumulative panel on race, gender, and equity in healthcare, this series aims to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion and to arm you with the skills and language to facilitate safer environments and better patient outcomes.

Despite being tremendously qualified to provide excellent patient care, women in medicine often face systemic gender-based harassment, pay inequity, and bias that prevents them from advancing in their careers and thriving as practitioners. In fact, research shows that almost 40% of women physicians scale back their practices or leave medicine entirely early in their careers. It's time for this to end.

Join us on September 10th for a webinar presentation with Dr. Salles to teach you how to better:

  • Understand how gender bias shows up in the workplace in both micro and macro contexts
  • Spot and report gender-based harassment
  • Address bias, correct it, and create safe, women-friendly and family friendly work environments
  • Create a culture of inclusion in your workplace
